Presentation of getman Pylyp Orlyk portrait

On 8th April the presentation of Pylyp Orlyk portrait took place in the Museum of the Battle of Poltava. The portrait was created by Ukrainian distinguished artist Mykola Pydgorny. This is the seventh canvas of the artist in the Museum galleries of historical portraits of famous people of Ukraine.

Guests – represented by scientists, historians, artists, art critics and the museum workers – were proposed visiting the exhibition of old materials, published before 19th century, nose-warmer modeling workshop and the museum exhibition. The event was decorated by show, given by violin players – teachers of Poltava P. I. Mayboroda art school #1 – who presented ancient music of baroque epoch.
