Lesson-tour «The role of woman in the history of Ukraine»

On the occasion of Mother's Day the scientists of the museum presented a thematic lesson-tour «The role of woman in the history of Ukraine» for pupils of the secondary school ¹24. In scientific and educational form with using of multimedia equipment the material about the role of woman-mother in social-political, public and cultural life of Ukraine from ancient times to nowadays was presented. The outstanding persons of the first Ukrainian state period – Ukraine-Rus were noted: Olga of Kiev, Anna Yaroslavovna, Eprasia; Cossack period: Roksolana, Anastasia Zaslavska, Galshka Gulevychivna, Marusia Churai, Maria Magdalena; the 19th and 20th centuries: Maria Bashkirtseva, Olena Pchilka, Maria Zankovetska, Oksana Meshko, Kateryna Bilokur, Lina Kostenko, and many others, among them many women from Poltava. The visitors were also able to see the traditional Ukrainian folk crafts and household accessories following the woman during all her life.
